GET TO KNOW ANGUS REDMOND
Born and raised in Langley, British Columbia, he started playing goal at 9 years old, with Langley Minor Hockey, where he played until he was 16. He then joined the Valley West Hawks in the BCMML. After minor hockey Angus played four seasons with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks in the BCHL where he was team MVP his final two seasons. Angus received a full scholarship to Michigan Tech University. During his freshman season, MTU won the WCHA championship and Angus was named to the WCHA All-Rookie Team. Following that season Angus signed a three year entry level contract with the Anaheim Ducks. He went on to play five seasons professionally between the ECHL, AHL and NHL.
Angus has spent many years coaching and sharing his knowledge at numerous summer camps and minor hockey associations. Angus has now joined the Salmon Arm Silverbacks as a goalie coach.
